- Little Thieves. German fairy-tale food, including First Course Liver Dumpling Soup, Chicken Schnitzel (or Lazy Sausage), Spatzle (Rustic Noodles), “Minkja-Style” Kraut (Spiced Cabbage), Gisele’s–or Is It Vanja’s?–Favorite Strawberry Dumplings for Dessert, and Buttermilk Ice Cream with Whipped Cream.

- Harry’s Birthday Cake. You know, the one that Hagrid brought along in his overcoat to tell Harry he was a wizard on his 11th birthday. Also the one I brought to a birthday-eve book club movie viewing.
